His first 800 series in 1989 included two 300 games. Since then, 'Primo' has amassed 42 perfect games and 31 - 800 series, including a city record 856 in 2001.
His finest was the 2004-05 season, with eight 300 games and eight 800 series, in four different houses. This accomplishment yielded his high average of 242, a composite average of 230 in four leagues, and ultimately the Jim Grady Memorial Award.
In MBA championship competition, he has earned six scratch titles in team event (two record setting) and the 2006-07 singles title. He also has won six local MAST tournaments and three prestigious Henry Hitter team titles. At USBC Nationals, he and fellow inductee Kevin Thompson were on the 2000 5th place team which also took 3rd in 2008 team all-events. With a lifetime average of 207, he has stayed in the top 50 bowlers for the USBC Nationals.
Jeff Prein has evolved from a top youth bowler out of Stoughton into a true modern power player and continues to excel on the lanes today.
