Bernard J. 'Bun' Crowley

One of the area's top bowlers of the 60's and 70's and a member of the Madison Bowling Association for 35 years. A back injury led to early retirement from the game in 1980. Career highs include a 279 single game, a high series of 740 and a high average of 205.
Competed in many MBA, Wisconsin State, and ABC tournaments. A member of the outstanding Middleton Sport Bowl teams that captured back-to-back MBA team titles in 1962 and 1963. Shared in the MBA tournament doubles titles in 1969 and 1976. Was an outstanding local baseball and fast-pitch softball player. Served in the U.S. Army in 1945 and 1946. Retired from Oscar Mayer after 40 years of employment. Spent 18 years fitting and drilling bowling balls and providing instruction to area bowlers.
