A native of Kenosha County, Wisconsin, 'Rob' Bailey's accomplishments in the business world are matched only by his accomplishments on the bowling lanes. He first took serious interest in the game at UW Platteville. With a move to graduate studies at South Dakota State University came almost total dedication to competitive bowling. Bailey came to the Madison area in 1984 and at the time of induction had been a regular competitor in league and tournament play for 16 seasons. His league average always exceeded 200. He is a two-time MBA champion; Division 1 Doubles in 1988 and Division 1 team in 1989. he captained Rob Bailey's Pro Shop teams to three top-ten finishes in the prestigious American Bowling Congress Championship Tournament from 1988 through 1994, including a 2nd place finish in Mobile, Alabama in 1991. As a PBA member in the early 1980s he holds the distinction of having rolled a perfect 300 in his very first game as a professional. His career featured a dozen 300 games, nine 299 games, and ten 800 series.
