Edgar G. 'Jerry' Anderson

Edgar G. Anderson

Plaque Inscription:
The quietly efficient but intense competitors are often overlooked when accolades are passed out. But not in the case of Jerry Anderson. He became a regular MBA bowler in 1961, and in the following forty-plus seasons became one of our most consistent performers. Prior to joining the "big boys" he was Most Valuable Bowler on the 1970-71 MATC team and led the team to the state title in the following year. He was a member of the MBA champion Skyline Standard team in 1968 and the Home Savings & Loan team in 1973. Often competing in as many as three of the city's top leagues each week you could say Jerry was "always there" and teammates and opponents as well always knew it. He rolled 4 sanctioned 300 games, had a career series of 783, and established his highest career average of 216 in the 1993-94 season.
