Frank H. 'Knute' Adler

Member of MBA for 57 years. High Series 784 in 1950. High average 204 in 1946-1947 season. Member of several league championship teams. Competed in 28 M.B.A., 35 Wisconsin State and 16 ABC National tournaments. Won the Wisconsin Knights of Columbus Doubles title with Roman Esser in 1952 and was a member of the 1956 K.C. State Championship team.
A Cross Plains native and proprietor of Knute's Alleys for 25 years until 1961. Worked another 23 years for area Bowling Centers. Organized and promoted bowling teams, leagues, and tournaments. Was noted for his spareribs and sauerkraut feeds after a match game.
A member of Madison Elks Club and Knights of Columbus of Madison and Cross Plains. A member of St. Bernards Catholic Church of Middleton.
