Four Earn Hall of Fame Induction in 2011
Joel Carlson, Dave Erickson, John Breunig, and Kenny Smith will be inducted into the Madison USBC Bowling Association Hall of Fame this year. The ceremony will be held at the Sheraton Madison on August 18. Cash bar opens at 5:00. The program will start at 6:00, with dinner at 6:30. The inductions, and a number of individual bowler recognitions, will follow. Tickets are still available. General admission is $40.00, please download this reservation form. Arrangements must be completed by August 12, tickets will be held at the door in your name.
Bowler recognitions this year are:
Rick Thomas, High Individual Average - 242 in the Lions league at Middleton Sport Bowl
Nate Sime, High Composite Average - 240, 240 in the Monday Night Major league at Spartan Bowl and 241 in the Monona 3-Man Golfers league at Village Lanes.
Jim Fosdick - High Individual Series - 877 in the MARBA league at Dream Lanes.
Gregg Williams - Jim Grady Bowler of the Year
Dave Rasmussen - Dan Mack Senior Bowler of the Year.

Hall of Fame
The Madison USBC Bowling Association Hall of Fame is dedicated to the recognition of the outstanding bowlers and dedicated servants of the Madison area who through their competitive skills, high personal standards and dedicated principles have enriched the general welfare, spirit, reputation and progress of the sport of tenpin bowling.
The Hall was founded in August, 1972 with five charter members; William Blau, John Bossart, Ray Farness, Edgar 'Pim' Quinn, and Conrad 'Connie' Schwoegler.
There are currently 115 members in the Hall.
Distinguished Performance
An individual should have established a documented record of outstanding performance in the sport of bowling. Some portion of the candidate's record must have been established as a member of the Madison USBC Bowling Association. Achievements might include but are not be limited to local, state, or national tournament championships; multiple years of awards recognition in high score categories, etc. The most important criteria will be performance above and beyond the ordinary.
Meritorious Service
An individual should have demonstrated service, devotion, ideas and ideals, contributions, or milestone achievements above and beyond the ordinary to the sport of bowling, and outside the framework of competitive bowling. Some portion of the candidate's service must have been established as a member of the Madison USBC Bowling Association.
Veterans
Individuals, both living and deceased, whose achievements and/or service to the sport of bowling and to the local, state, or national membership service organizations may have been diminished simply due to the passage of time or overshadowed by more contemporary performers or performances.
