2009 MBA Annual Meeting
The 2009 Madison USBC Bowling Association Annual Meeting will be held Thursday, June 18, 6:00 p.m. at Dream Lanes.
This is an open meeting for the membership and an opportunity for MBA members to address the MBA leadership.
Traditional agenda items include the presentation of the proposed budget (2009-2010), selection of members to represent the MBA at the State and National conventions, President's and Association Manager's reports, and various other reports.
This year there will be four director positions up for election. Incumbents Mark Henry, Gary Zuege, and Dave Shaw are seeking re-election. Interim director Greg Stauffacher will not. Lone director applicant and MBA Hall of Fame member Dick Kalnicky will round out the ballot. Since the current slate of candidates is also four, the ballot may be moot - save a nomination from the floor. A directorship is a three year term.
The officers and directors of the MBA are your representatives. Their duties include conducting the annual championship tournament, providing education, training, recognition and other services, and implementing USBC programs. This is done primarily through service on various committees such as the Tournament Committee, Finance Committee, or Certification Committee. All directors are volunteers - giving freely of their time to serve their fellow bowlers and work towards the betterment of the association.
We Need YOUR Stories Too!
Stories may include bowling tournament, fundraiser, or other event information, human interest bowling stories, or bowling success stories or first time accomplishments.
The MBA E-News is available for use by everyone involved with bowling in our jurisdiction - proprietors, league officers, tournament directors, and members. Promote your tournament, league, or bowling fundraiser, congratulate your bowlers, recognize their accomplishments - this newsletter is for you.
Please send your completed story to the Madison USBC BA. Be sure to include important details - dates, times, game scores, links to more information, pictures, or whatever you think is important.
