National Bowling Week
The third year of the bowling industry's rededication to National Bowling Week is on the horizon with the biggest focus being setting a world record.
This year's National Bowling Week is scheduled for Aug. 23-30, one day longer than the last two years. That's because the eighth day, Saturday, Aug. 30, has been added to set a world record for most games bowled in a day.
Also available this year is a commemorative National Bowling Week stamp. The third in a limited edition series is available in sheets of 20 for $11.50. Stamps are available through bpaa.com, gobowling.com and ibpsia.com or by calling (800) 343-1329.
National Bowling Week is sponsored by the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America, International Bowling Pro Shop and Instructors Association, Professional Bowlers Association, Strike Ten Entertainment and the United States Bowling Congress.
Badger Bowl Events
Badger Bowl is hosting a number of events to celebrate National Bowling Week. Saturday, August 23 will be a Cops 4 Kids Bowl-A-Thon. Tuesday, August 26 is Bowl for United Way and features three events including Demo Days, PBA Coaching, and Family Fun. Wednesday, August 27 is 8-Pin Tap and Red Cross day. Thursday, August 28, Doggy Dollar Day for the Humane Society. Download the flyer for more details!
